searching for some sort of normal

This was dinner tonight. Living room, take-out burgers, fries, extra thick pb&choco shakes, cardboard picnic pallets and some family TV viewing.

Do you see the trail of milkshake from cup to child?
Yes, that is why we have the pallets.
Of course the pallets are really boxes.
Boxes that I should be packing.
But I am not packing the boxes due to a little hiccup called "buyer backs out."
Yup, no lie. It is what it is.

So back to square one. Back to fixing all things we didn't bother with for three weeks.
Back to trying to figure out to be present in the waiting.
Back to trying to find some sort of normal in this in-between.
Giant hamburgers and the best milkshakes money can buy help with this.

As do simple routines. Like watching our Monday night show during Tuesday night's dinner.

The rest we will figure out as we go along.
Together. Because city or country, home is where the four of us are together (and where the milkshakes are plentiful, lets be honest.)

  1. Oh, so sorry!! The right one will come soon!! ;) xo Heather

  2. Hot damn. What a disappointment! Hopefully a more eager buyer will walk through your door ASAP!!

  3. So sorry to hear that :( Will be praying for the right solution that brings happiness to you all.
But in the meantime, milk shakes definitely help- good call! :)

  4. How frustrating for you! And what on earth is the buyer thinking, to be so indecisive?

I hear that milkshakes are very soothing! Science will come out with a study on this any day now!

  5. Oh honey. I feel your pain. Oh the disappointment!
We're still waiting for our FIRST offer after 9+months on the market. Wish I could wipe out a few milkshakes with you ;)

Hang in there! Normal is what we make it.

  6. Sorry to hear that, but everything happens for a reason - your time will come!

  8. Oh, I am so bummed for you. Keeping my fingers crossed for your future farm.

  9. Sorry. That is why selling becomes so stressful. Chill out with those cuties and your milkshakes. Tomoorrow is another day, Scarlett. I would buy your place for the 2 chenille covered rockers myself. Sweet! Prayers for real estate mercies.

  10. It took us a year to sell our house--my mom too! Praying the right buyer comes along soon. I hate being in the "waiting room"!

ok, really. tell me the truth... do these comments make me look fat?
