Thursday's Confessions

Welcome to Thursday's Confessions. A new weekly feature where I confess, before you my sisters and brothers, the silly, the ridiculous and even at times the shameful. Why? Because confession is good for the soul. Even in Blogland.

Confession: I am not anywhere close to perfect.
Not that I need to declare this again. But it is true.
I am not perfect. I am done trying. I hope that people don't think I try to be.
I would still like a clean house.
Surely those things are not contradictory?

Confession: I need to escape.
I want to go on a trip. Anywhere. Memphis, Dallas.
 Anywhere bigger than here.
Anywhere cooler would be a bonus.
Yesterday the high was 114 degrees.

Confession: I want a hair dryer chair.
So I can dry my hair, read my books, write my book, say my prayers.
All under the cover of a hair dryer hood. Crazy I know.
But I just might be that crazy.

So those are my confessions for this week- what are yours??

  1. I like the smell of gasoline and skunk. There. (I'm hanging my head)

  2. Come escape next week with me to Dallas! I've got market Thursday-Saturday.

My confession is, there are many (and I mean MANY) days I...
    1. Do not get out of my sweats until around noon (even though I get up around 7AM)
    2. Put on any makeup
    3. Wash my hair

Side note: I ALWAYS brush my teeth, so that has to count for something, right??

    My confessions of the week:

    - I am a closet clean freak that hates being a clean freak because nothing ever stays clean. All I've done since I got back home from a family visit is think how gross my honestly not that gross house is. (Might be a nesting thing too though.)

-I hate being pregnant, even though I love the end result of it. (I'm not one of those pretty, happy prego's on t.v.)

-I'm bossy and a pain in the rear (or at least that's what Wes tells me lol and i've come to realize is true).

  5. I want a hair dryer!! Often times I have my 6 year old do it for me and wish I could pay someone to come everyday to wash and dry it. Instead, I wear it up, in a ponytail/knot, frizzy.
