I can't see the pic, but I know what you are talking about. They are disgusting and even worse is the "baby ones". Um, my little girls don't wear thongs and look like Snookie, but that's just me... Elise
Very good question...Raggedy Ann was a very cuddly dolly that kids could hug to death...I don't think these new dolls are very cuddly. Yes, and to think the Blythe dolls from Japan are fetching hundreds of dollars...but money can't buy you love like the older, cuddly, dollies could. Thanks for the reminder from the vintage years where life was more simple. hugs, Teresa in California I'm having a giveaway on Saturday, June 25th, as I am participating in Vanessa Valencia's Mad Tea Party on her 'A Fanciful Twist' blog. I announced it on my latest post on my blog. So come on over and enjoy the fun!
I liked Tracy's comment about "E." Little does she know that when grandma and grandpa took "E" shopping, those are EXACTLY the dolls she wanted! We were able to settle for a Tangled Barbie.... :)
can i just say...AMEN!!!!!

ReplyDelete"Like ... when we weren't.. like .. looking!"
ReplyDeleteI don't like brats; never have, never will! I do however love Raggedy Ann and Andy.
Could not agree more. E will never venture into that realm of dollies as long as I can help it.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Patti. MOMS buy them. It's too bad, too. There is nothing sweeter than seeing a little girl cuddle a baby doll.
