When I have a "banner weekend" one of the first things I do is hit the $1 a day rental machine and pick up some new flicks to watch while I am in my supreme crafting zone.
This weekends choices were:

and Amazing Grace
Both movies were good, food for thought and conversation and entertaining to boot. Amazing Grace is a good one to watch with kids, Wylie (age 7) had lots of questions, but held with the story well. Miles played and ran around for most of the movie but after it was over he was singing about the "beautiful Africans" so something must have sunk in...
I am looking forward to watching both again tomorrow with the commentaries on (like the movie geek I am) while I glitter and cut and paste just a little bit more...

hi there, stumbled upon your blog via Decor8. I must say, I have been wanting to see Tyler Perry's movie, just haven't yet for some reason. But my husband and I watched Amazing Grace a while back, and thought it was AMAZING! Love this true story and was so moved by how long this man waited and pursued a change. How fulfilled he must have felt to have been used in such a way!
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring!
